SMME awards
were presented to
the best small medium
and micro enterprises
in Africa, based
on the following
structure:
1. One sector winner
per the 10 different
sectors of business.
This award was for
the best company
in each sector for
all of Africa. The
sectors were as
follows: Agricultural,
Food and Beverage,
Arts & Crafts,
Banking and Finance,
Construction, Education,
Training and Consulting,
Environmental/Renewable
Energy, ICT, Manufacturing,
Open Category and
Tourism. A total
of 10 winners were
selected.
2. One Regional
winner to be selected
from the Sector
Winners. This position
goes beyond a specific
sector.
3. One Africa SMME
winner to be selected
from the Regional

up in all sectors
in all of Africa,
for the Africa SMME
Award. Being the
runner up a certificate
to that effect was
awarded.
